I compare it to driving a car down the interstate and missing your exit. The driver is still in control of the car. The driver simply was “somewhere else” mentally when passing the exit while still in control of the car.

There are several ways to implement self-hypnosis.

Changing the language surrounding pregnancy, labor, and birth is the first place we start.

When we change our language, we can begin to shift our mindset.

Mental preparation is as important (I would argue MORE important!) than any physical preparation.

Repitition and consistency help develop the muscle memory to acheive a completely relaxed state of being during your birthing time.
